The Owen family have been building homes in and around Warrnambool for more than 85 years. Currently owned and operated by Chris and Anna Owen, it all began with Chris’ grandfather, George, who began building in 1923. His father, Reg, then began Owen Built Homes in 1975. Knowledge passed down through the generations has made Owen Built Homes the Building Company that it is today.
With a great team of 12 Carpenters, 5 Office staff and the support of our local trades, combined with 40 years of practical experience for Chris himself, Owen Built Homes is well versed in constructing exceptional design, value & quality homes.

We are dedicated to making the building journey as easy as possible for each and every client. We have a step-by-step process, so you will understand exactly what’s happening at each stage of your journey from the moment you walk in our door to walking into your new home.
Our Plans
We have a range of ready-to-go house plans and façades to choose from. With a selection of over 100 plans, there’s a lot to choose from. We can help you choose a floor plan that will best suit your block of land and budget or if you find one that you love but it’s not quite perfect, our Building Designer will work with you to customise it to suit you.
Design & Construct
If you can’t find a plan that suits you or your block, we can help you design a custom home from scratch that uniquely fits your lifestyle, then our builders will bring it to life. Having a builder working on the design from the start, in collaboration with our Building Designer, results in a home that maximises your budget and considers all the essential elements of a well-designed home, including natural light, space, warmth and storage.

He will give you honest advice around building, home designs and what to expect throughout your journey to building your new home.
